Aims and Objectives

The UAE Midwives Association aims to promote and strengthen the Midwifery profession and the role of the Midwife to ensure the well being of the women and their families within the UAE through representation for and on behalf of, Midwives and Women.

The objectives of the Association are as follows: -

  • Participate with federal authorities, government and key stakeholders in developing policy regarding Midwifery, Sexual Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Adolescent Health.
  • Strengthen and advance the role of the Midwife in the UAE.
  • Work within the International Confederation of Midwives, Emirates Nursing Association and the UAE Nursing and Midwifery Council of the UAE Code of Ethics, Code of Conduct and Scope of Practice.
  • Promote excellence in practice through leadership, continuing education, professional accountability and practice standards.
